As the world turn against the global monster corona virus. CIDJAP Enugu is not aloof to the plight and condition of people especially her staff and the beneficiaries from her numerous intervention programs.
Living true to her core values of solidarity with the people ravaged by the realities of poverty, hardship and exclusion, CIDJAP Enugu under her Director Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Donatus Onuigbo embarked on numerous intervention programs to alleviate the sufferings/hardships experienced by her dependents.
Speaking at the outbreak of the pandemic in March the Director of CIDJAP, Fr. Onuigbo told staff and beneficiaries of the untiring efforts of the founder of the institute, Very. Rev. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike in organizing and disbursing funds and materials for the welfare of the staff and the beneficiaries from the institute, among the items shared to staff and indigent beneficiaries were over 1000 facemasks and 50 bags of rice.
In her excitement, one of the staff while thanking the Director and the founder said amongst other things that the bag of rice received could lead them reasonably through the pandemic. The Director of CARITAS in CIDJAP, Rev. Sr. Nneka Maduka expressed her joy at CIDJAP for living up to her commitment to the poor.
Similarly CIDJAP has also joined in the voices campaigning for the total compliance of the NCDC guidelines on COVID-19. This is exemplified in the provision of hand sanitizers and water at strategic points in the institute. CIDJAP is also campaigning for total adherence to the NCDC guidelines through her numerous outreaches in both rural and urban areas.
