CIDJAP’s Director and Diocesan Projects and Development Coordinator, Msgr. Obiora Ike obtained funds from UNA TERRA UNA FAMILIA in Switzerland to completely build a new structure that houses the Eye Clinic. Over 60 million NGN has been invested in the project through CIDJAP.
Managed by the female Religious congregation DMMM with Sr. Dr Stella Onwubiko as the doctor in charge, the centre located inside the Holy Ghost Cathedral compound served in previous years as a dental centre initiated by Bishop Michael Eneja in l983.
It was transferred out, and the building was knocked down and rebuilt to be the new place to cure eye-related issues, especially for poor people.
A welcome message by sister Onwubiko Stella established the facts and the history of the centre.
