In a collaborative effort, the Catholic Institute for Development, Justice and Peace (CIDJAP) and Christian Solidarity International (CSI) organized a poignant ‘Christmas Vigil Prayer’ on December 13, 2023. The event aimed to shed light on the challenges faced by persecuted Christians in Nigeria.
Attendees gathered at 5 pm for a solemn vigil featuring prayers, reflections, and inspirational messages. The symbolic act of lighting candles underscored hope and solidarity with those experiencing religious persecution.
Speakers from CIDJAP stressed the importance of collective commitment to justice and freedom of faith, stating, “This vigil signifies our shared dedication.”
The event concluded with a moment of silence, allowing participants to reflect on the challenges faced by persecuted Christians and offering a collective prayer for their safety and resilience.
