Msgr. Obiora Ike Invited to Speak at Global Faith Council and 50-State Faith Fly-In in Washington, D.C

Msgr. Obiora Ike, respected ethicist, theologian, and advocate for global justice, has been formally invited to take part in two major international faith and advocacy events taking place in Washington, D.C. this October.

The invitation, extended by the organisers of the Global Faith Council, will see Msgr. Ike joining faith leaders from across the world for the second in-person Global Faith Council meeting and the first-ever 50-State Faith Fly-In event. These gatherings, scheduled for the 20th–23rd of October, 2025, aim to unite global and United States faith leaders in a strategic advocacy mission on Capitol Hill and in engagement with U.S. policymakers.

During the Fly-In, Msgr. Ike will join American pastors in high-level meetings with congressional offices, contribute as a speaker and panellist, and help host the inaugural prayer breakfast on Capitol Hill. The programme also includes direct engagement with the U.S. Administration to advance shared priorities in justice, human dignity, and sustainable development.

The organisers have described the participation of Global Faith Council members as “priceless”, noting that their voices will play a crucial role in inspiring and encouraging U.S. faith leaders whilst amplifying global perspectives in policy discussions.

Known for his leadership in ethics, interfaith dialogue, and education, Msgr. Obiora Ike’s presence in Washington is expected to enrich the discussions and contribute to impactful advocacy moments with both Congress and the Administration.
