CIDJAP flags off the Construction of 200 Meters Road in her premises

In her bid to alleviate the sufferings of the masses, CIDJAP has awarded the construction of the CIDJAP road starting immediately off Zik Avenue Uwani, Enugu by MRS Filling station and leading and stopping at CIDJAP complex back entrance along Umuleri street, Uwani Enugu, all covering a total area of 200m x 7.3 meters width and 100mm concrete pavement thickness.

The contract for the construction of the road was awarded to a contractor, Engr. Chris Dims, a professional civil engineer, of Suite B66 Area 11 Shopping Mall, Garki, Abuja by the founder and executive director of CIDJAP (in the name of the organization), Very Rev. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike (The Ọnwa global)

While awarding the contract, the cleric noted with sadness the difficulty encountered by the residents, customers, bank staff, CIDJAP staff and other workers of different organisations accessing the road.

He had over the years severally approached successive Enugu State governments for the construction of the deteriorating road yet each of them kept making promises.

Sequel to the above, he was moved to construct the road in line with the CIDJAP mission of alleviating the problems of the poor masses who constantly make use of the road.

Aside the above, the road is strategically located in commercially thriving environment where MTN company, Auto-ease company, auto-mobile engineers, Leventis, bank, schools and residents benefit from the road.

In other to forestall disruption of commercial activities during the construction of the road, Msgr. Obiora Ike had earlier invited the residents, petty traders, auto-mobile engineers and some representatives of the various establishments accessing the road to a meeting to inform them of the road construction under way and the need to make some adjustments.

The construction of the 200 meters road had already commenced on Tuesday, 15th March, 2022 with the construction of drainages by the sides of the road.
This development was welcomed by all and sundry since the road had been a major challenge to motorists, workers and residents of the area.

As we thank the founder and executive director of CIDJAP, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike for his magnanimity, we pray that God may raise more people like him to assist in making Nigeria a better place to stay.
